We welcome EVERYBODY!

Fluency believes in equity and acceptance of all who have a message to share with the world. While we strive for excellence, we value the learning process and are excited at the opportunity of working with young speakers and performers. Being fierce in our modern world is the best way to get noticed and be heard.

We specialize in the following events: Duo Interpretation, Duet Acting, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Program of Oral Interpretation, Prose, Poetry, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking and Extemporaneous Speaking.  We can provide coaching in other events (including all NSDA supplemental events) upon request.

Each event has unique attributes. Our coaches ensure the right skills and nuances relevant to your performance.

In practice, our coaches may give feedback on your script cutting, research, memorization, blocking and delivery.

We also teach the elements necessary for you to create your own art. We teach the journey and the process so that your final performance is yours and yours alone.

Sessions can range from 30 minutes to an hour. Multiple sessions may be scheduled.

You will receive an email confirming your scheduled session with your coach. Your coach will send you an email providing you with a Zoom meeting link. Other video conferencing platforms may be used upon request.

Contact us directly at Fluency4N6@gmail.com and we will coordinate an available time with your desired coach.

When you schedule a session you will be asked what specific aspects you would like to focus on when you meet with your coach. You should specifically explain what you would like to address during your session. Additionally, you should upload a copy of your script, cutting or speech when scheduling. This will allow your coach to familiarize themselves with the content of your event prior to your virtual session.

You may request that your Zoom session be recorded so you may review suggestions made during the session at a later time. Your Fluency coach will email the recording to you after your session.

When you are scheduling your session through the website you will be prompted to pay via Paypal. Schools can contact us via email to pay using a P.O. or check. For additional help with other payment options please contact us at Fluency4N6@gmail.com

Yes. You should reach out to your Fluency coach at least 24 hours before your session. Failure to provide appropriate notice may result in the cancellation of that session.

Students learn lifelong skills that will improve their speaking and writing abilities and teach how to present themselves in a professional manner. Students develop skills in research, critical thinking, organization, persuasion, communication, reading comprehension and empathy. The process is fun and the outcome will be fierce.

Forensics and coaching equips learners with communication skills applicable to their personal, academic and career journeys. For many, the payoff may not be immediate but it will be eternal.
Added: For example, many speech and debate students see tangible benefits from participation while in school – confidence in speaking situations, spontaneity in interviews, improved writing in other courses and diverse perspectives. These skills also benefit the student after high school.
Added: Employers want college graduates to have strong oral skills. Many college graduates are starting new careers. Regardless of their field or profession, employers say new employees need strong oral and interpersonal skills to be successful.

Speech coaching is a great way for individuals to overcome their fear of public speaking. Speech and debate teaches confidence and presence, effective verbal techniques, and other skills for students to be their best.
